Fundraising for Main Hall
We hit the new academic year running, with the summer just a dim and distant past! We are so pleased with the new facilities the C6 building brings to our faculty with its purpose built auditorium, drama, dance and art rooms and not forgetting the recording studio and media rooms. However, we are never ones to rest our laurels and so we enter this year with a new challenge. We wish to upgrade the main school hall to include a tiered seating system which will transform the 1920s hall into a Community Theatre to be used by, not just our students, but all in Swindon at a very reasonable rate. Already we have the backing of Helen Miah, Commissioner Leisure, Libraries & Culture, Swindon Museum & Art Gallery who through her Swindon Does Arts hat is able to offer advice and help promote the fundraising needed for this new Commonweal Experience.
Our school is currently undertaking a review of the SEND policy to meet the new requirements for SEND in line with the new SEND Code of Practice effective from the 1 September 2014. A draft policy for all stakeholders to review will be up on the website at a later date.
